We can evaluate the mutagenic potential of your test agent at a
reasonable price.  Our flow cytometry-based assay (FCMA) is faster
and more sensitive than the mouse lymphoma assay and is less
expensive to perform.

How our assay works

  • The FCMA depends on a unique cell hamster cell line with a
    single copy of human chromosome 11 that expresses
    genes such as CD59
  • Mutations in CD59 are detected by the loss of expression of
    CD59 protein on the surface of cells using monoclonal
    antibodies
  • Flow cytometry then rapidly and accurately measures the
    frequency of mutations
  • Turnaround time in as little as four weeks
